Tony heads up the Business Services Division for the practice. He has a strong interest in advising professional clients, mainly doctors, dentists, pharmacists and solicitors. He is a member of the Solicitors’ Special Interest Group of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is also a member of AISMA, the Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants. He studied Modern History at Durham University and if he hadn’t been an accountant, he would have liked to be a Professor of History. He is a former president of the Sheffield and District Society of Chartered Accountants.

Jackie is the partner responsible for the firm’s internal accounting systems and the Payroll Services Division. She has a wide portfolio of work with the emphasis on a significant portfolio of corporate charitable clients and public sector clients. She obtained a degree in Business Studies at Sheffield University and qualified with Ernst and Young in 1980. She then joined Allotts as a manager in 1987 before becoming a partner in 1989. As a small child Jackie was always fascinated when visiting the local chemist shop. However, once she started chemistry lessons she realised pharmacy wasn’t for her.

Steve is the partner responsible for the Corporate Services Division of the practice. Steve trained with Allotts, qualifying in 1982 and becoming a partner in 1991. He has experience in construction and related trades, medical practices, education and related charities, motor trade, engineering & road and passenger transport. Steve is also Chairman of the Doncaster Group of the Sheffield and District Society of Chartered Accountants. If he hadn’t been an accountant his grandfather said he should have been a race horse jockey.

Neil is the firm’s managing partner. He is the partner responsible for IT and HR. He specialises in family businesses of all sizes and also has a substantial portfolio of technology businesses. He was educated at Newfield Comprehensive School and Sheffield Polytechnic and trained with the Sheffield Office of an international firm of Chartered Accountants. Neil was a partner at Wheaters and moved to Allotts when the two firms merged in 2003. In his spare time he enjoys golf, football and skiing. If Neil hadn’t been an accountant, he would have loved to have been in movies, co-starring with Britt Ekland or Ursula Andress.

Steve has previously worked with Deloittes and PKF. He has a wide range of knowledge in a variety of areas but his particular specialisms are in tax planning and mitigation for business clients ranging from small and medium sized enterprises to multinational groups. He advises particularly on business start-ups, company restructuring and the acquisition and preservation of various forms of tax relief. When he was young, Steve wanted to be a Royal Navy helicopter pilot but decided to do something even more adventurous and follow the clarets of Burnley FC.

Mark is an Associate who studied Accountancy at Birmingham University and joined Allotts after graduating in 1985. He trained and qualified at Allotts and became a manager in 1989. Mark specialises in audit and accounts work for professional partnerships and charities. If Mark hadn’t been an accountant he would have liked to be a Surgeon.
