Building for Success - Making the Most
of Doncaster's Property Boom |
| The Doncaster property
scene has been booming over the last few years with exciting new developments
and considerable investment in significant projects such as the Robin Hood Doncaster
Sheffield Airport. To spread the word about some of the opportunities available
locally, Doncaster Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with local Chartered Accountants
Allotts and the RBS commercial team to host a breakfast forum looking at recent
developments and the opportunities that are available in the market. Taking
place on November 9th at Doncaster Rugby Club Building for Success - Commercial
Property in Doncaster, is a free event that aims to equip those attending with
the knowledge they need to survive and thrive in this fast moving market. Speakers
include Steve Bird from 3D, Doncaster's regeneration partnership and Anuj Joshi
from Priority Sites, the organisation behind some of the major developments in
the region such as the Icon First Point Business Park. Neil Rockett from The Royal
Bank of Scotland Property Finance division will demonstrate how the bank can help
through a flexible approach to investment and development funding. Kirstie Williamson
of Allotts Chartered Accountants will look at the tax implications of property
deals and how to make sure that your newly acquired assets don't become a tax
liability. Clare Ibbotson, Associate Director, The Royal Bank of Scotland
South Yorkshire Commercial Banking, said: "This is an exciting time
for Doncaster and it is essential that companies gain a good understanding of
what is happening in the market place in order to take advantage of the opportunities.
We're aiming to ensure that local businesses are in a strong position to make
the most of Doncaster's property scene." Kirstie Williamson, Senior
Tax Manager, Allotts said: "Too often the tax implications of property
deals are overlooked or not considered until the deal is almost complete. Getting
the right advice at the right time can make the difference between a deal which
has tax advantages and one which proves to have painful financial consequences
for those involved." All businesses from Doncaster and the surrounding
area are warmly invited to attend. To reserve your free place contact Tessa Stephens
on 01709 828400. For further information about The Royal Bank of Scotland
