Most of our students do have degrees but we are happy to support employees who have demonstrated that they are capable and committed through getting their AAT qualification. We also take the occasional trainee with good A levels for 'Fast Track' to AAT and a chartered training contract.
We usually begin recruiting in December for employment starting the following year. We advertise in the local press and on student web sites as well as posting the vacancies on our own web site. Applications are usually closed at the end of February. Initial interviews will be held in March/April with final offers being made to the successful applicants by the end of April.
You don't have to have an accounting or business related subject but it will help if you have some understanding of the commercial world and are able to articulate what you would bring to it. You should also have a minimum of a 2:1 degree and 24 UCAS points or a UCAS tariff score of 300.
All our students have a four year training contract. This sets out what our expectations are of you and what support in terms of training and development you can expect to receive from us. You will need to be committed to working hard to put in the hours of study needed on top of a full time job.
You will have an initial interview with HR and one of our managers. If you are successful you will have a further interview with the managing partner. Throughout the process we will be assessing your drive, commitment and determination to succeed in a challenging environment.
