Qualified Senior – Corporate Services Division

Immediate Start

Full time 37.5 hpw



Job Purpose

To audit and prepare accounts for corporate clients, including academy and charity clients in order to provide an efficient and cost effective accountancy, taxation and VAT service that meet their needs and those of the regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a professional working relationship with clients and liasing with colleagues so that Allotts can comply with clients’ reasonable requests for assistance
  • Setting and achieving budgets for assignments
  • Working to complete assignments within agreed time scales
  • Providing input on billing for more senior staff
  • Planning audit and accountancy assignments as appropriate
  • Providing audit and accountancy assignments in the office or on clients' premises
  • Providing taxation services
  • Assisting clients with routine company secretarial duties
  • Performing accounts related administrative and secretarial duties
  • Reviewing the work of junior members of the team if required
  • Supervising assisting and providing objective and constructive feedback to junior members of the team so as to enable them to develop
  • Attending courses when required to develop personal skills and maintaining a record of an adequate level of CPD
  • Representing and promoting the firm in formal and informal situations, attending seminars and networking events as a representative of the firm

Knowledge, skill and experience requirements


  • ICT – Word, Excel, Sage, PowerPoint
  • Accounting standards
  • International standards on auditing
  • Companies Act legislation and requirements
  • Charities Act / SORP
  • Knowledge of the education sector would be desirable


  • Audit and preparation of statutory company accounts
  • Audit and preparation of charity accounts
  • Although not essential experience of finance software used in the education sector, FMS, Corero, PS Financials would be desirable
  • Reviewing / supervision of work undertaken by other junior members of the team

  • Fully qualified Chartered or Certified Accountant
  • Or the appropriate level of relevant experience QBE
